Worked with Andrew and S&C Painting to get some minor drywall work done.Andrew and his team was able to deliver and complete the project on time as promised.They also found out we’re having our first baby and sent us a baby gift as congratulations!Would recommend this company!

The upsides were that Andrew was very responsive by email and almost always got back to me within a couple hours no matter what day of the week. The good customer service on Andrew’s part made it a little easier to overlook the issues with quality of work and professionalism we faced with the actual painters who were working in our home. Our TV we used the night prior to the painters coming was broke when they left the job. While it was insisted S&C wasn’t liable, Andrew still gave us a $350 gift card to Best Buy to get it replaced. We were very appreciative of that! It was reiterated by Andrew that they wouldn’t leave unless we were happy with the end result.Included in our quote for interior painting was: installation of new light fixtures, patching of any nail holes/water spot damage, plus they were going to spray all the doors/trim. My husband and I were told spraying was much faster and would look very clean in comparison to hand paint which honestly played a big role in wanting to hire S&C. Our doors/trim were hand painted instead with no explanation.The patch jobs were done very poorly. Quite frankly it looked like someone had dipped a finger in calk and smeared it over the holes and painted right over it. A small patch of wall was actually fixed where there was water damage, but otherwise painted over and left looking no different than before. We addressed this with Andrew and eventually it got fixed. The point being these were fairly easy jobs we could have done ourselves, but didn’t because we were told they’d take care of it. It felt very uncomfortable to have to ask the professionals to do the job right a second time. And then remind them again when it didn’t get done.Paint was left to dry on our newly refinished oak floors and some furniture. Andrew ended up going through the house and cleaning a majority of it up himself since I complained. We were instructed how to clean the rest ourselves which was frustrating considering these are professionals being paid thousands of dollars for a job.My biggest complaint was the fact the head painter Wade decided to take my dog out of his crate and take him outside on the leash in my front yard without my permission. My husband and found out the next day when he told us. Not only did this feel like an invasion of boundaries for him to go into the room I asked them to leave alone for the day while we were at work, but my dog has been known to wiggle out of his collar and get loose. We live on a busy road and we’ve yet to get it properly fenced. Wade had no way of knowing these things, so even had he shot me over a text to ask I would have said no. The same painter also let my cats out of the room when they left for the day three days in a row after I had already asked him not to. I came home to my cats with paint on their fur. Luckily there was no real harm done with my pets, but this made me uncomfortable enough to ask this specific painter not to come back the remaining days.Now, the only time I was not impressed with Andrew’s customer service was when I addressed this concern. His response was all about the praise Wade has gotten from past jobs, reassured us there was no mal intent and that Wade went above and beyond for us (specifically on the trim which wasn’t even painted by the mode in which we were quoted). This felt a little bit like a backhanded apology in my opinion.In conclusion, a common thread with S&C in our experience was lack of attention to detail and which was one of our highest priorities. While they said they’d come back to fix things, my husband was upset enough to ask them not to. We accept the responsibility that it was offered to be done right, but honestly we just wanted to be done and part ways at that point. The overall paint job does look nice, it came down to details and the customer experience that would cause us not to use S&C for future paint jobs.
